2012- THAT WAS THE YEAR THAT WAS... PRETTY STOMM.

CURRENT SOUNDTRACK: Miles Davis- Kind of Blue, "So What"

Pretty glad to see the back of 2012. Though a tough year all round work wise, I did have a few highlights- meeting Stan Lee at London Super Con and presenting him with a poster version of a MULTIVERSE cover I drew especially for the con; getting great feedback from a few editors on my pages; seeing Judge Minty finally completed and getting universally glowing reviews; and finally getting back in touch with a couple old friends. 2012 is also the year (though late in the day) to put aside distractions to concentrate developing my sequentials portfolio, which has led to some interesting and promising projects in 2013.

Here's a few top 5 lists, since everyone does it these days-

BEST FILMS
Skyfall, Dredd, The Raid, The Avengers, Cabin in the Woods.
There's a load I wanted to see but so many more I haven't had chance to, like Lincoln, Argo, tons others.

BEST COMICS
2000AD (for Day of Chaos), Nelson, The Brown of Nao, Hellboy/BPRD, Conan.

BEST TV
Homeland, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Newsroom, Fringe.

Quite a few went before their time-Last Resort, Rubicon, Pan Am, all could have been classics. Rubicon especially is one of the best TV shows I've seen in years.

For the handful of people who check this blog out, thanks for coming back and see you in 2013.

I think Pan Am was a mercy killing. I watched the first couple and they were terrible. assuming you didn't see it but I'd add Boardwalk Empire to the best TV list…

@Joel I think Pan Am could have been really special, but it seemed to be very 90's in its approach. I don't think I missed an episode but it got to the JFK assassination, then the next episode seemed to completely ignore it. Bizarre. Still not seen Boardwalk Empire, will get round to it eventually!
